Hidden Treasures of Walt Disney World

How many times have you seen something at Walt Disney World and just ignored it without asking what it is and why it is there?  Did you assume it would always be there even though WDW is constantly changing?

Many Hidden Treasures that never appeared on maps or elsewhere have already disappeared including the Metrophone Booth in Tomorrowland, the Lawnmower Tree at Ft. Wilderness Campground, the statue of Cornelius Coot that stood in Magic Kingdom from 1988 to 2011, and the bust of Walt Disney can no longer be enjoyed by guests except through memories and photos.

Disney Historian Jim Korkis will share a dozen of his favorite Hidden Treasures that still exist at the vacation kingdom that you can share with your friends and family from the lantern given to Roy O. Disney in 1971 by the Japanese people to light the way for good fortune for WDW, the miniature scale model of the Gullywumper  keel boat from the Davy Crockett films, the secret of Wilson's Cave Inn on the Rivers of America and many more that are clearly visible in plain sight for all guests who take a moment to look.

Jim will be bringing different copies of his books from his last appearance.  Each costs twenty dollars (cash or check) that helps cover not only the cost of the book but shipping to Orlando and sales tax.  He will be happy to autograph them or anything you wish autographed.  Over three dozen Disney books written by Jim are available at Amazon so there is plenty of time to order one you might like and bring it.

What secrets have you been missing for all these years you have visited or may have worked at Walt Disney World?   Jim will not be talking about Hidden Mickeys this time (that is an entirely different presentation) but he may mention where you can find a Hidden Donald Duck in the Haunted Mansion.

Jim Korkis is an internationally respected Disney Historian who has worked in multiple Disney departments including animation, Imagineering, Disney Vacation Club, Disney Cruise Line, Disney University, Disney Entertainment, Disney Museum and more.  He is always willing to answer questions about anything Disney not just the topic of the speech.
