About this event
The Always Welcome Club is excited to announce an amazing speaker for their August 20th Social at 6:30pm. This is a Not-To-Be-Missed event and will actually require all residents to register on the HUB in order to attend. We are pleased to have Sheriff Grady Judd speak to our community.
Sheriff Judd is known for being a no-nonsense law enforcement officer who has gained national fame with his frank demeanor and zero tolerance on crime. He is a local boy from Lakeland who started with the Sheriff’s department at the age of 18 as a dispatcher. He is actually the first employee hired under the age of 21 and could not even purchase his own ammunition without parental consent. By the age of 27, he obtained the rank of Captain and in 2004 he was elected Sheriff for the first time. He has continued to win elections including the 2020 election when he ran unopposed.
He holds multiple degrees including two honorary doctorates in Business and Humane Studies. He has served as an adjunct professor at the University of South FL and Florida Southern College. He also provides support throughout the community through various Public Safety Commissions, the Rotary Club and has done work on a National level with Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.
With all this knowledge and experience, everyone will want to hear what he has to say. Registration for the August 20th Social will begin on the HUB on August 1st. We expect that spaces will fill up quickly so please do not delay.
